Who we are

Success Steps creates AI prompts, guides, custom GPT resources and courses for entrepreneurs, and runs successteps.com. In this policy, “Success Steps”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean us, and “you” means anyone who visits the site, reads our emails or buys from us.

This policy covers the personal information we handle when you:

  • browse successteps.com
  • join our newsletter or download a free guide
  • buy one of our products
  • contact us by email, through the contact form or on WhatsApp

We decide why and how this information is used, which makes us its “controller” under data protection laws such as the GDPR. Other companies’ websites and apps that we link to, like PayPal, Notion or ChatGPT, have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn’t cover them.

The information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the site, deliver what you ask for and answer you.

What you give us

  • Newsletter and free guides: your email address, entered in one of our sign-up forms.
  • Contact form: your name, your email address, the topic you pick and your message.
  • Email and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to send us, along with your email address, or your phone number and WhatsApp profile name.
  • Purchases: PayPal tells us your name, your email address, what you bought, the amount, the date and the transaction ID. Depending on your PayPal account, it may also share your country or address.

What we never receive: your card number, your bank details or your PayPal password. Payments are handled entirely by PayPal.

What’s collected automatically

  • Server logs: like almost every website, the servers that host successteps.com record basic technical details for each visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the date and time.
  • Sign-up forms: our forms are provided by Kit and load from Kit’s servers, so Kit receives your IP address and browser details when you open a page that has one.
  • Our emails: Kit records whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked, which shows us which emails are useful.

We don’t use analytics or advertising tools on this site: no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing that builds a profile of how you browse. We also don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health or financial details, so please don’t send it to us.

How we use it

  • To deliver what you ask for: the free guide you requested, the newsletter you signed up for and access to the products you buy.
  • To support your purchase: resend access links, fix access problems and answer questions about your order.
  • To reply to you: answer the messages you send by email, through the contact form or on WhatsApp.
  • To send our newsletter: AI tips, news and updates about our own products, only if you signed up.
  • To keep things safe: stop spam, fraud and abuse, and keep the site running.
  • To follow the law: keep purchase records for tax and accounting, and respond to lawful requests.

We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for targeted advertising, and we don’t use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services that help us run Success Steps, and only what each one needs to do its job. We don’t sell, rent or trade it.

    Notion privacy policy

    WhatsApp privacy policy
  • Instagram, Facebook and XSocial

    Host our social media pages.

Receives: anything you post, comment or send us there, under each platform’s own policy.

When else we share it

  • Advisers and authorities: our accountants or lawyers when we need their help, and public authorities when the law requires it.
  • A change of ownership: if Success Steps is sold or merged, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes.
  • With your permission: in any other case, only when you ask us to or agree to it.

Products you use in other apps

Many of our products work inside AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. When you use them there, you’re using those services under their own terms and privacy policies, and we never see what you type into them.

Cookies and browser storage

Our own pages don’t set cookies, and we don’t use advertising or analytics cookies of any kind. Two things store small pieces of information in your browser:

  • Kit’s sign-up forms: Kit’s script saves an identifier called “ckid” in your browser’s local storage, so its forms can recognise your browser, for example to know you’ve already signed up.
  • Our contact form: when you send a message, the form keeps a temporary copy in your browser tab, so if sending fails you don’t have to type it again. It’s deleted as soon as the message goes through, or when you close the tab, and that copy never leaves your device.

When you pay, PayPal’s checkout uses its own cookies on PayPal’s website. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. The site will keep working, though sign-up forms may not.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don’t track you across websites or sell your information, so these browser signals have nothing to switch off here. If that ever changes, we’ll treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out.

International transfers

We and the services we use may store and process your information outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers are protected by recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK’s equivalent.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we may keep your email address on a do-not-email list, so you aren’t added again by mistake.
  • Purchases: for as long as tax and accounting laws require, which is often several years.
  • Messages to us: for as long as we need them to help you and handle any follow-up.
  • Server logs: for a limited time, for security and troubleshooting.

When we no longer need your information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

The whole site runs on HTTPS, access to our accounts is limited to the people who run Success Steps, and we rely on established providers with strong security practices. Payments go through PayPal, so card details never touch our systems.

No website or email service is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If a data breach affects your personal information and is likely to put you at risk, we’ll tell you without undue delay, and we’ll notify the authorities where the law requires it.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • AccessTell you what we hold about you and send you a copy.
  • CorrectFix anything that’s wrong or out of date.
  • DeleteErase your information, unless the law says we must keep it, like purchase records.
  • Restrict or objectLimit how we use it, or object to a use based on legitimate interests.
  • Take it with youGet your information in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consentStop the newsletter at any time, in one click.

How to ask

Email support@successteps.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line, from the email address you used with us, so we know it’s you. We’ll reply within one month, and it’s free.

If you’re in the EEA or the UK and you’re not happy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your local data protection authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner’s Office. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.

If you live in the US

Some US states give you extra privacy rights, such as knowing what we collect and asking us to delete it. The same process covers them. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

Emails from us

Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing stops our newsletter and promotional emails, but we may still email you about something you bought, such as your access link.

Children’s privacy

Success Steps is made for adults who run businesses. It isn’t aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top always shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we’ll also tell subscribers by email or post a notice on the site.
